Arguments this week about the awb, compares semi-auto weapons against full auto and burst fire weapons. To Simplify this discussion I look at it being NO different, except for the settings or Theater, to defend ones life. If the government is sending people overseas to defend whatever they deem necessary, one is STILL defending ones personal being. The difference is the weapon the government issues you to defend Yourself with. Under the battle ground setting you are given the upper hand to more than likely WIN the fight and preserve your life. Within the boundaries of the United States that defense mechanism of the utmost upper hand is taken away. States have all but told you your life is not important anymore. Gangs, like the enemy overseas are vicious and violent as the battleground enemy one fights to preserve your well being. The battleground is smaller, the weapons are NOT government supplied and the ammunition is not government supplied. But the preservation of ones LIFE is the same.
